"This place is a hidden gem. The service was prompt, attentive and very friendly - all wrapped in a cozy diner. Silly Fries were a pleasant surprise - fries fried nicely with a load of cheese sauce and fresh pico. The fish, pulled pork and shrimp tacos were fantastic - light fry on the fish - perfect. "Today marks my first year wedding anniversary and I'm reflecting on our day and all the wonderful people that contributed, including vendors, and Colin's House did not disappoint. My husband and I's favourite meal is tacos, but we didn't want your typical ones seeing as it was our wedding day. Therefore, through friends and family, Colin came highly recommended, and I am so glad we chose him. He was prompt, professional, provided all the necessary serving utensils and more, and welcomed all my ideas; including our individually served beet and yam chip cups for all our 140 guests. Aside from his phenomenal service and kindness, the food spoke for itself. The chips were such a fantastic cocktail hour snack to hold us over for our meal. The whipped feta dip is still my favourite dip of all time! Also, through taste testing and prompt countless emails, we were able to nail down our perfect menu - a Taco Bar. We had an assortment of toppings and sauces, and several protein options. Colin was able to serve anyone and everyone, from picky eaters to all my dietary restricted friends and family. It was nearly 40 degrees outside this day last year, and so having gourmet tacos was the perfect meal; our guests still rave about them! Colin's House is worth it, so please hire them for your next event or wedding! You will not be disappointed."

"Wow! If ever you are in the area or feel like a drive, stop in at Colin's house. The food is amazing. The tacos were awesome and we had four of the five kinds. The beet chips were the best I've ever had. Five stars all around. The decor is more "farmhouse" with a live feed of a chicken house as well as Bob Ross painting! Very eclectic and worth the drive from Winnipeg."

"First time at this popular spot in Beausejour, it did not disappoint! Came in first thing when they opened at 11:30 and ordered a variety of dishes. Everything was amazing. Adorable cute lil diner, friendly staff. Beet chips perfectly cooked and crispy with delicious dipping sauces. Great portions with reasonable pricing. Need to come back to try EVERY menu item. "The beet and yam chips were delicious and portions huge. I could have just eaten those but I had to also try the fish tacos and silly fries which were also good. Great value for the portion sizes. I was so full so i got a key lime pie to go because I heard that was also a must try. Next time I will have to try the taco rice."

"This place is a hidden gem. It’s well worth the drive from the city or a stop on your way to or from the lake. Everything on their menu can be made gluten free and/or vegan so it’s very accommodating to anyone with dietary restrictions. We ordered the beet chips and tacos. The beet chips have a very generous serving size so bring your appetite. We ordered it as an appetizer for 4 people. My parents and I ordered two tacos each and my husband ordered three. It was more than enough food. The food and service were excellent. The owner Colin and our server Laura were both incredibly friendly and accommodating. Thanks again for the great service. We will definitely be back!"
